Scottish Band Young Fathers Merges Post-Punk with Hip-hop on Single ‘In My View’

For those of you who have been the Clockenflap Hong Kong last year, do you recognize Young Fathers?

Based in Scotland, the band Young Fathers have performed on the grand stages of Clockenflap in town in 2017, bringing us a slash of hip-pop music that’s mysterious and with a post-punk vibe. Featuring folk percussion instrument elements, their songs are always low-profile yet extraordinary, impressing audience not limited to merely indie and alternative fans!

The group were formed in 2008, after the then-teen members met at an under-16s hip hop night at the notorious Bongo Club in Edinburgh. Their second EP “TAPE TWO” won Scottish Album Of The Year in 2014, paving their next big music paths. Soon after, Young Fathers was crowned the highly prestigious Mercury Prize for best album of 2014.

After only one single released in 2017, Young Fathers returns this year with a strong and flavourful track ‘In My View’.  This new track will be featured in their forthcoming album “Cocoa Sugar.”

Let’s have a listen of this exciting new track and await for the next hit!
