Every year, there maybe plenty of music festivals in Hong Kong, but the majority of the festivals are international, from anywhere around the globe except Hong Kong. This time, it’s different: Hong Kong is having its homegrown music festival again this year. Shi Fu Miz, the modern and original festival, is brought to us by FuFu, Hong Kong based creative agency, and the music collective La Mamie’s from France has announced the first names of the lineup for their 3rd edition happening from October 27th to 28th, 2018. The festival programme so far includes the likes of Glenn Underground, Skatebård, Dan Shake, La Mamie’s, Camion Bazar and many more. Expect further announcements in the coming months.
Tucked away in Sai Wan, Cheung Chau, the Shi Fu Miz Festival offers a private site for audience, bringing forward a different, contemporary electronic music festival with a tint of art. Besides electronic music, Shi Fu Miz Festival includes a wide variety of activities to keep you occupied, including DJ performances, art activities, outdoor yoga and environmental workshops. Enjoying the greatness of music and the interaction in the activities, the audience will fully love this paradise of music and arts.Locating in the quiet island of Cheung Chau, you can expect a crazily vibrant and lively vibe there where you can enjoy the most out of the music festival.
One day may not enough for all the blasting music, performances and cultural activities, Shi Fu Miz considered this crazy thought and brings to us a two-day festival in the private adventure park. Camping tents are even provided if you’re up to a special, native-American like night adventure.
For any electronic music lovers and festival-goers, Shi Fu Miz Festival is likely to deliver a different experience from any other major festivals, adding a flavor of yoga, street art, workshops, talks and beach. If you haven’t tried a homegrown music festival, this may as well be your chance.
