Looptopia, the first and biggest homegrown music festival in Taiwan, rang down its musical curtain on 7th April in Taoyuan, Taipei , bringing an end to this edition of the electronic festival. Continuing last year’s triumph, the two-day festival gathered thousands of music lovers from different places, rejoicing the lively vibe of the festival, music and world-class performances. After waiting for a years since its debut show, the audience were not disappointed for this second installment, which proved to be more blasting, crazily vibrant and musical than the last.
The pioneer of Taiwan electronic music festival prides itself to bring Taiwanese and any music lovers a EDM utopia where they can dwell on the greatness of music in an exclusive, private site. This year’s Looptopia has proved itself the ability, providing a paradise of electronic music for any types of fans and festival-goers.
The audience dressed up for the grand festival, plenty dolled up in accordance with this edition theme. From fairy, clown to magician, you name it, there might be one in the site of Looptopia. The enthusiastic goers saw this festival not only as a weekend getaway, but their home to their favorite kinds of music. The EDM festival, indeed, serves as an utopia for Taiwan music fans.
In this sophomore edition, Looptopia widened its coverage of electronic music, stretching to all kinds of electro, including tropical house, trance, EDM, progressive house and a lot more! Not only that, the edition had invited over 50 world-class acts such as Ferry Corsten, Yellow Claw, Lost Frequencies, DJ SNAKE, Axwell Ingrossom, and many more.
DJ Copan Kasten, the nineteen year-old DJ based in Hong Kong, was among one of the performing DJs, lifting the atmosphere of Looptopia at the highest. Upon watching the top-notch performances, the crowd had gone crazy, cheering for the music as the night fell.
