There is a new development of the Swedish superstar DJ Avicii’s death.
The legendary musician, who we reported earlier this week about his tragic death in Oman, has suicided and died. This latest news by Avicii’s family shocked us, in the statement it says, “He really struggled with thoughts about meaning, life, happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace.”
The 28-year-old musician , whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead on April 20 in Muscat, the capital of Oman, where he had been on holiday with friends.
Bergling was at the forefront of the EDM movement that began to dominate the pop landscape in the early 2010s. He was among the first DJs to break through into the mainstream as electronic dance music grew over the past decade from nightclubs to the radio. Since his single ‘Levels’ in 2011, Avicii had been in the mainstream electronic music scene and been successful in his music path. The single even hit No. 1 on the US dance charts. The year after that, he collaborated with David Guetta for ‘Sunshine’, earning him his first Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
Avicii had made no secret of his health problems, including pancreatitis, triggered in part by excessive drinking linked to his lifestyle. His family stated, “He was an over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.” It is believed that his suicide may be caused by tremendous stress.
